Adoptables

When you adopt or buy a closed species design from me, you're allowed to change minor details in the design, That being markings, colour, etc. Nevertheless, I would highly appriciate it if you check with me first trough notes. If you have plans about making bigger changes to the design(s), then it's an abseloute must to ask me first.
It's not allowed to add rarer traits to your Søtsaker without payment. Although you can upgrade them by paying for new features, though you only need to pay for new features if they are rarer ones than your Søtsaker already has. If you wish to do so, please contact me (through notes) so we can come to an agreement of payment.

Credit/Rights to the design

• This also includes MYO slots.

• Until you have fully purchased your Søtsaker, you cannot use it in any way.

• Having purchased the design, you have all rights to it. However, as I own the Søtsaker species, the "base"/Søtsaker it is put on, I have all rights to.

• If you wish to no longer partake in the Søtsaker community/species, you will still keep the design (unless traded, sold, etc). Though, your Søtsaker will be removed from the owner list, and will no longer be an official Søtsaker. I also kindly ask that you change the creature/"base" the design is on, until it doesn't look like a Søtsaker anymore.

• After removing your design as a Søtsaker, I will not re-sell the same design just because it is now on a different base, you still have all rights to that design, and if i did, that would be plagiarism. However, I am able to create a new and different looking design from the same dessert, as it's not an officially listed dessert-design anymore within the species.

• You can give the design a name, story, world to live in, use it in roleplay, etc, for personal use. (It would be appriciated if it generally sticks to the lore the Søtsakers have- though, you decide for yourself what to use the Søtsaker for)

• When you purchase the Søtsaker(s), I will still have partial rights to it. For example: I can use the design(s) to promote myself and my artwork

• The first time you use your design (ex. on a reference sheet) PLEASE credit me for the original design (unless it's a MYO), and the species.

• Credit to me for the Søtsaker species is strongly recommended in everything you submit that involves them. (Plus I'd really love to see all the art of the Søtsaker's!)

• If you own a Søtsaker that is directly influencal upon the official story arc of my species (f.ex, if you own a GUARDIAN or a KNIGHT), I will be able to rightfully take the role back to avoid having personal conflictions affecting or messing with the story.

• If you are a guest artist designing adoptables under my species, I will still have all rights to the Søtsaker until it is sold. Though, the monetary value we agree you can make upon those adoptables is rightfully yours.

Trading/Selling/Gifting

• You can trade the design away for other things that are not of monetary value.

• You can re-sell the design, but you must have owned it for at least 6 months. (This is to avoid having people who purchase it just to re-sell it for extra profit.) If you wish to sell it before 6 months have passed, please message me.

• Co-owning a Søtsaker with others is fine, as long as it's shared fairly and the owner(s) approve of it. However, you cannot co-own a Søtsaker with more than one other person. (this is to avoid confusion and lack of controll over a joint ownership)

• Drama or arguements occuring within co-ownership is outside of my control. It is not my job to resolve it, if something changes within the co-ownership, let me in on only those changes.

• If you trade, sell or gift an original Søtsaker design, you have to let the person who is given the Søtsaker, know that I am the original creator of the design, and species.

• No refunds.

• I have the right to deny purchase of any on-going auction or adoptable of mine to someone, though in most cases I will tell you why.

Chances and streaks.

• I still have some rights over every Søtsaker "base" of mine that I sell, and therefore I have the right to give Streaks/redistribute/repossess/ ownership over the "base" if you are breaking my Terms of Service. In doing so, you can potentially be banned from your rights over the species. Examples of this behaviour includes, but is not limited to, 

  • Selling/offering/auctioning and/or purchasing one of my Søtsakers before 6 months have passed, without consulting me.

  • Harassing other members/the admin(s) of the Søtsaker community.

  • Scamming/theft of my Søtsaker species.

  • Unacceptable/rude behavior towards your partner in a co-ownership of one of my Søtsaker designs. 

  • Failing to pay me / someone else for one of my Søtsaker designs in either an auction or a trade/sale.

   

  Breaking any of these rules will result in a "streak", depending on the severity. Streak 1 is a warning, streak 2 is a last chance, streak 3 results in being blacklisted from my Søtsaker species, and banned from ever buying from me again.
