How does a Søtsaker even get corrupted?

Well, as cute and innocent as these creatures are, their minds can easily be manipulated into believing dreadful thoughts and lies. The negative magic makes them paranoid, whispering things, such as: "you're unloved" "They don't want you" "They aren't worth your time" "You're better than them". This can make them upset, narsissistic and/or scared. Therefore, they do nasty things out of habit to check if their thoughts really are true. It's like a natural reflex. Many of these cases only happens through corruption magic by the Demon God, but if someone isn't a kind and loving owner, the same result could happen.

But don't worry, there are ways to help a Søtsaker back to its original form! One thing you can do is give it lots of love and attention! They WILL fight back at the start (due to telling themselves they are unloved for so long), and they'll think you're lying and untrustworthy at first. However, if you consistantly keep trying though, they will slowly start believing you and the nasty thoughts will gradually disappear. This option may take some time though, depending on how corrupted your Søtsaker is.

Nevertheless, it does exist (in extreme cases of corruption) where praising them, petting them, or generally being affectionate to them won't work. This situation is quite complicated and difficoult to solve. The only solution left is to get in touch with the Søtsaker God. Only the healing magic of the Søtsaker God can purify the corruption inside the Søtsaker! It's a long process, and there are times where even that might not work. With this unfortunate case, the Søtsaker God won't have enough power to purify the negative Søtsaker

What happens if it stays corrupted for too long?
If the negative Søtsaker remains un-purified and continues to be corrupt, it will turn into a small clump of floating fire (it's the enbodiment of their soul). This fire is black and red, and if you try to touch it, your mind will experience all of the same pain of what the Søtsaker went through. The longer you touch it, the more mental torture you endure. Many think it can't be as severe, but those who believe so must have forgotten that Søtsakers has the same amount of emotional intellegence as humans. It cannot be revived after this stage, the damage is irreversible.

 

Most of the time, nobody will be there when they turn into this form (because it will have walked as far away as possible from any sign of civilization). They don't walk away of their own free will. The Demon Søtsaker Gods are aware of when a Søtsaker is about to crumble together, and uses magic to mind control  them. It's easy to use mind-control when they're in this unstable mindset, as they won't have any willpower left to fight back since they are so tired and weak from suffering of all those negative emotions over such a long period of time. When they are as far away from civilization as they can get before the transformation, the Demon Søtsaker God will appear before them shortly after. Eventually, when they've transformed, the Demon Søtsak Gods consumes their soul for power, which empowers their magic. And for every soul they eat, the more corrupted the mind of the actual Demon god becomes. 
If the Demon God doesn't appear straight away, the Søtsaker God will find it instead. The Søtsaker god doesn't notice it as quick as the Demon god does, but it's still a high priorety to them to get there first and avoid having the soul consumed by the Demon god to empower them even more. As I mentioned before, corrupted souls cannot be revived, so they have no choice but to execute the soul instead. This way, the soul will dissapear forever, but it's a far better fate than being eaten.
